God has been so good to us!

When we were accepted to Vision Baptist Missions as missionaries, we weren’t planning on starting deputation until August. A week later I was laid off from my job, I knew it was close to the job ending but I thought I had at least another month or so. The morning I was laid off, they handed me my two checks and said “Thank you for your time”. Instead of getting upset and yelling or begging them not to lay me off, I shook his hand, said “Thank you” and proceeded to my truck. As I drove home, I began to pray and ask God what he wanted us to do now. After spending some time in prayer with the Lord, I knew I needed to call my wife and break the news. Her first question was what are we gonna do, I began to explain to her that after spending some time with the Lord in prayer I wholeheartedly believe that it’s time for us to begin deputation. I called our deputation director and explained the situation, so we began the process of calling churches to schedule meetings. He warned me that it may be hard to schedule meetings in the summer months because of different events that usually occur during these months (VBS, Church Camp, etc.) but with God’s grace and guidance I still worked hard to schedule and call. As I made call after call our calendar started to book up, and soon we had June booked. Then, July started filling up now we are looking to finish scheduling a few Wednesdays here and there but God allowed us to get more and more meetings scheduled. We are still scheduling for a few openings this year but have begun booking for next year as well! God has been so good to us and we are excited to see have God is going to continually bless. Here is a thought for you to think about; Hebrews 13:5 says- Let your conversation be without covetousnessand be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.1 God will not take you out of somewhere and lead you down a path just to leave you stranded. God will provide and He will bless greatly!
